A staffing recruiter, also known as an agency recruiter, is responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for client companies. Their duties include:
- Finding candidates: Sourcing candidates through cold calls, networking events, and online job boards
- Screening resumes: Reviewing resumes and CVs to identify potential hires
- Interviewing candidates: Conducting interviews over the phone and in person
- Managing the hiring process: Coordinating with hiring managers and HR to understand job requirements, and managing the offer process
- Building relationships: Establishing relationships with candidates and clients, and providing guidance to junior recruiters
- Writing job descriptions: Collaborating with hiring managers to write job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Posting job ads: Posting job descriptions on relevant platforms, especially social media
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
